Since founding Shekinah Counseling in 2015, I’ve had the honor of walking with clients through some of their most meaningful — and often painful — life transitions.
Over the years, the practice has grown, shifted, and deepened alongside me.
What started as a traditional therapy space has become something more integrative, intentional, and focused on what really helps.
I now work with the sensitive and the strong — therapists, physicians, caregivers, educators, neurodivergent professionals, and other high-achieving helpers who are tired of carrying it all. Many of the people I work with appear successful on the outside, but internally, they’re navigating burnout, compassion fatigue, decision paralysis, or a deep ache for something more fulfilling.
Maybe that sounds like you.
I believe therapy should help you move — not just make meaning of where you’ve been, but support you in building where you’re going.
I believe that healing doesn’t always mean digging endlessly into the past. Sometimes it means identifying what’s draining you right now, setting new boundaries, or reconnecting with what you actually want.
I believe that working outside the constraints of insurance allows us to do deeper, more tailored work — grounded in your needs, not diagnosis codes or checkboxes.
And I believe that your sensitivity, intuition, and drive are not problems to fix — they’re signals pointing you toward a different kind of life.
I draw from training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapies, and ADHD coaching. My doctoral research focused on compassion fatigue in private practice — and that lens continues to shape how I support both clients and clinicians.
Therapy with me is collaborative, structured, and hopeful. We focus on your goals, your rhythm, and your definition of growth. Whether we’re processing trauma, working through burnout, or mapping out your next chapter, we move with intention.
You’ll notice this space isn’t just about goals — it’s about learning more about yourself, stepping into who you are, and exploring what’s possible.
Here, we’ll consider what it means to grow past survival, to heal without losing yourself, and to build a life that fits you — not just your obligations.

Hey! I'm Dr. Willey
I’m a therapist, coach, and writer who works with helpers, high-achievers, and neurodivergent folks navigating burnout, compassion fatigue, and the quiet toll of caring deeply. I blend clinical training with lived experience — including my own journey through overfunctioning, identity shifts, and healing — to support clients in reconnecting with themselves. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that healing doesn’t have to mean endlessly unpacking the past — sometimes, it means rediscovering hope, boundaries, and your next right step. Whether I’m offering therapy, coaching, or writing, my goal is always the same: to hold space that honors your story, your pace, and your potential.
